Gordonvale State High School – Manual Arts Renovation

2026 Master Builders Queensland FNQ Award Winner – Education Facilities up to $7 million

Field Construct completed the refurbishment of the existing E and K Blocks at Gordonvale State High School, delivering upgraded Manual Arts teaching facilities for woodworking and metalworking.

The works included extensive demolition, asbestos removal, structural remediation, new specialist services, epoxy flooring, teaching spaces, dust extraction, compressed air systems, new access stairs and a feature aluminium screen reflecting the surrounding ranges.

Despite significant unforeseen structural conditions within E Block, the project was successfully delivered with a strong focus on safety, quality, programme and minimising disruption within the operating school environment.
